Tekin FX-R Rock Crawler ESC

Details and discussion of the new Rock Crawling program

Tekin FX-R Rock Crawler ESC

Postby reenmachine » Sat Jan 23, 2010 4:10 pm

It looks like this is the rig I'll be running. I'm learning about all the crawler-specific features right now so if you have any questions, ask away.

It's also Hotwire-programmable for those of you who are already so-equipped.

It's a brushed motor controller (I think crawlers prefer brushed for the strong braking/full lock capability) with a street price of about $95.

They make 35-, 45-, and 55-turn crawler motors as well, in both regular and pro (hand-wound armature) versions.

I don't have my crawler together yet, but I received my Tekin FX-R and 55T motor. Looks great! Tiny ESC, and I'm looking forward to hooking it up to the laptop to see what's in there. :ugeek:

Hey guys..... I think this is my first official post, but here is the ESC I am running.
http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php?pr ... t=0&page=1

Its a crawler specific ESC, switched to it after my mamba max just wasnt quite enough.
But it will handle up to a 6S lipo, no motor turn limit (I am currently running 2 10T 540 size pullers in my Losi Comp Crawler, and it hardly warms up). Also it is fully programmable via Castle Creations Castle LInk.

I havent played with the Tekin yet well have to compare them at a get together one of these days.
